Trip to Bend, OR for a getaway!

On Feb 24th, we headed down to Bend, OR for a little mid-winter getaway. We stayed at a friend's corporate house at the Pronghorn Community (Fazio/Nicklaus courses) which was totally amazing. Allen and Rosy joined us from Walla Walla, and Dave, Lily and Alex came down from Portland too!

We visited the High Desert Museum - it's really neat, a little indoors, a little outdoors....

Mission of the High Desert Museum:
Through exhibits, wildlife, and living history, the High Desert Museum creates learning experiences to help audiences discover their connection to the past, their role in the present, and their responsibility to the future.

Interior Trim

It's a slow go on the interior trim, but you must remember, Ron is recycling wood (oak) demoed from one of his previous jobsites. Lots of sanding, trimming and staining happening in our garage! He started with framing the doors, then he created the window sills, and now is on the baseboards. He's doing an amazing job!
This is where it begins in the garage...

The door trim looks amazing!

Jack Finding His Love of Water

Last night in the tub, Jack decided to lay down and explore the water. He did this for about 10 minutes, just loving it! Josie did this when she was younger too. Time for swim classes!

(oh, and that's Josie whining in the background - Ron's trying to remind her that there's no whining and everyone needs to be happy)

Happy Josie

Master Bathroom

One thing a house from the 1960's doesn't have is a master bathroom (the other is closet space)......but when we rebuilt the house, we made ourselves a nice lakeside master bathroom for ourselves!
Getting the travertine in
Then it was the whirlpool tub and cabinets

Our little piece of heaven - jetted, heated, whirlpool tub for two!

And of course, his and her sinks
